Apleona secures CAT B fit-out for Siemens Mobility
Apleona’s longstanding partnership with Siemens Mobility commenced in 2019, delivering a range of services such as mechanical and electrical maintenance, fabric upkeep, and grounds maintenance across their UK portfolio.
In 2022, we expanded our role to provide integrated facilities management for Siemens Mobility's new 67-acre train manufacturing plant in Goole.
Recently, Apleona's Project Team was successfully awarded a CAT B fit-out of Siemens Mobility Rail Components Distribution Centre at their Goole Rail Village to further enhance delivery of materials to fleets. This new 95,000 square foot unit includes ancillary office space.
The project was finished ahead of schedule, and the project was celebrated with a grand opening in March 2025, attended by notable local officials, including Rt Hon Sir David Davis MP and Cllr Anne Handley.
The Project
The fit-out encompassed:
The creation of a new communications room and various meeting spaces with glazing and movable walls.
Installation of structural steels, ceilings, flooring, and decorations throughout.
Mechanical, electrical, and lighting design and installation for both the warehouse and offices.
New W/Cs and shower rooms, as well as tea points and breakout spaces.
Pedestrian barriers, walkways with anti-slip coatings, external signage, and furniture.
Working alongside Julija Griesnovaite (Siemens Real Estate Project Manager) was a true pleasure, and participating in the grand opening with Rt Hon Sir David Davis MP and Cllr Anne Handley made for a memorable occasion.
